Yes, his trial was supposed to start today.
He has reached a plea deal with prosecutors.
A judge will sentence him on October 6th.
Charges were filed in April of 2025.
The possession of child pornography occurred between 2020-2024.
The charge would now be called “possession of child sexual abuse material.” The videos are of children being raped and bound. Tens of thousands of them.
When he was arrested he was no longer a professor of IU School of Medicine.
He was working for Baylor College of Medicine.
Several uploads happened with Indiana University IP addresses.
We don’t yet know the terms of the plea deal.
